BIOGRAPHY
Mr. Hughes was born Council Bluffs, Iowa, in 1948. While attending the University of Nebraska Law School was a member and editor of the Nebraska Law Review. Mr. Hughes graduated in the top 5% of his class, Order of the Coif.
Mr. Hughes maintains his membership in the Pottawattamie County, Southwest Iowa, Iowa State, Nebraska State and American Bar Associations; the International Association of Defense Counsel; and, Defense Research Institute.
Mr. Hughes has represented numerous Iowa school districts and the University of Nebraska. He has served as defense counsel in asbestos litigation for over twenty years and does extensive product liability litigation.
Mr. Hughes also serves as a neutral in alternate dispute resolution cases and has received training in mediation. He is a member of American Academy of Alternative Dispute Resolution Attorneys.
